well finally I was invited to another party!

Yes this time I was allowed to come along ... we drove all the way to London town and went to a lovely 1st birthday party of mum's great nephew (does that mean he is huge or mum is old?) Arthur Blyth.  I met a very sweet terrier called Susie there and had lots of sausages .... a good day had by all .
Other news is that my favourite chairs have reappeared!  Mum moved them from the kitchen and put two  undogfriendly chairs there.  OK she did buy me a lovely new dog basket to make up for it but I did miss those chairs.  Anyway ... this week we had a new house built .. in the garden and guess what has gone in there? Yes my chairs!  How nice of Mum to do that for me now I can watch for cats in the comfort of my own armchair ...

mum is just back from the states

Hi there, I have been with Lorraine for 10 days as Mum and Dad have been to Thomas and Stephanie's wedding banquet in San Francisco.  She had a wonderful time and said that Stephanie looked beautiful in her white wedding dress.  There were no dogs there ... but she did meet some at Yosemite national park, along with bears and deer... so maybe it was a good thing I didn't go.  I probably am not quite ready for another long airflight either.  But maybe next year?
I was very pleased to see a comment that I have one faithful follower still.  So don't worry I will be continuing with my news.

I know it's been a while!

I have not really had anything to tell you lately.  Mum has been away for two weekends in a row and I have been with Lorraine.  She always looks after me really well and I like her dog Sky very much, I even like her cat!!
One weekend Mum went to see Betty Boo... and she didn't take me !!! I have seen the photos of the trip and Betty looks very cute .   I am seeing her tonight as I will be going for an evening walk with her when Mum is out (again!!)
My leg has been playing me up but it is a lot better now, and I have been trying out a new dry food which I quite like ....
Hope someone is still reading this .. can you let me know?

that was a long walk!

The other day a very hot and sunny one, Mum, Dad, John and Liz took me on a hike in a very pretty place called Winchcombe in the Cotswolds.  I was doing fine until the hills came up, one after another ... I just couldn't walk another step ... so Dad had to carry me!  I felt very embarrassed but one could I do?   It was a lovely day but I was shattered by the end ... I don't think I was the only one actually.

didn't the bride look lovely? but where were the corgies?

I have recovered from my emotional outburst whilst watching the Royal Wedding.  I was quite overcome by his red outfit and her dress ..  and all those trees, gosh I could have done some serious sniffing etc. around them...  I sat on Mum's lap for the whole ceremony and there wasn't a dry eye in the house!!

Then Mum and Dad got very busy 'preparing the house for the party'  party?  They didn't tell me anything about that... anyway they were hard at it all day, moving furniture, arranging flowers, hanging up 'bunting' etc.

Guests started to arrive at 6.00 pm.  Everyone made a big fuss of me, but no one offered me any canapes and the delicious food (especially the cheese) was far too high up on the table to reach.  So after some attempts to join in, I fell asleep under a table...  By the sound of the laughter, everyone was having fun.  Maggie was there but she didn't bring Betty Boo, that was a shame, we could have had some fun of our own.

But where were the Queen's dogs do you think?  I often see them with her in pictures, those corgies and there are a lot of them. Not my favourite breed but I think they should be there, I am always at family occasions after all.....  I guess they were at the dogminders, do you think they wore bows?

mystery of the missing dog bed!!

This weekend I went to stay with my minder Lorraine ...  Mum and Dad were going to watch David run in the London Marathon.  Now I could have helped him with that ... if they had put a bone 12 inches in front of me I could have run it for him, but on the other hand isn't a marathon 26 miles?  Now that might be a bit much.
Anyway to get back to the main story..... I had a lovely time at Lorraine's as always.  She has a new man in her life, Roger, who is a very nice chap.  We went for some good walks.  There was a labrador there too who stole my tablets!!!  I bet that made him feel good!
Then when Mum came to collect me, my blue dogbed and mattress had gone and there was a brown one there instead.  Lorraine said there had not been any other dogs collected before me ... so where is my bed?  Mum has brought the brown one back, washed it and so I will use that until such time as mine is found.
It smells different but not unpleasant ...  in a doggy way.

Hi Fans!
Yes I know I haven't been writing lately.  We seem to have been very busy going out etc.  Last week we went walking along a lovely beach in a place called Highcliffe on the South Coast. It was a very hot day and I went for a paddle in the sea!!!!
The next day we visited an area called the Cotswolds. We often go there walking and we enjoyed a lovely visit to the woods and a town called Winchcombe.
Today I went to see my vet, who pronounced me very fit, apart from my ol' ticker which has a bit of a 'murmur' nothing new there then ...
Oh also ... I found out that I am now famous ... well at least I have my photo in the newspaper,  Beaufort Island News to be precise.  There was an article about that Dog Pawty I told you about in the paper, and one of Mum's good friends sent it to us.  What a thrill!!
